Celebrity Rags to Riches Story



There are several rags to riches stories that we can hear everyday that may inspire us to strive and be successful in life. And good examples would be the stories of our celebrities who can be seen on our TV screens. They might look well-off and well provided, but some of them have experiences you would not thought they have experienced, that life had been hard on them too. So what ever fame they are experiencing right now is all worth it. So here are some of the celebrity icons who are considered to have rags to riches story.

Who would have thought the once heartthrob, Marvin Agustin who had become famous in the 90s was once worked as a waiter before he ventured to the entertainment industry and now owned a lot of restaurants.

Sarah Geronimo on the other hand experienced poverty when their family business went bankrupt, and from there, she used her talent to improve their way of leaving and fortunately, she was hailed a winner on the singing contest she joined, and at present she was considered to be one of the known performers in the Philippines.

Vice Ganda on the other hand started as a freelance stand up comedienne, look where he was now, he was considered to be one of the sought after hosts, at the same time he had a lot of block buster films, and is considered one of the icon in the Philippine entertainment.

In 1997, the Eat Bulaga show declared Mr. Jericho Rosales as its first Mr. Pogi and from there he started his career. He was once a fish vendor yet he made use of his looks as an asset to be placed on where he was right now. But aside from good looks, Jericho Rosales can also be lauded with his acting skills and modelling as he maintains his well sculpted body.

Jake Zyrus or once known as Charice Pempengco, just like with Sarah Geronimo made use of her singing talent to rise from the top. He also was awarded as a winner in a singing contest she joined and had become more popular when she was featured in an American show, Ellen de Generes and from there he received more invitations to different shows and even an appearance to a teen show, Glee.

Next is our world boxing Champion, Senator Manny Pacquiao, he experienced poverty when he was a child, without any property, but with the use of his strength he was able to win different boxing competitions and later on had been known all over the world.
